Located in the heart of wine and farm country, Santa Rosa residents enjoy a plethora of outdoor activities in and around the city. Hiking, biking, jogging, and horse back riding are some of the many recreational opportunities in several state and local parks.  The Pacific Ocean with its majestic rock formations is only minutes away.

Shoppers are sure to find treasures in the many boutique shops that line our downtown and Railroad Square areas. Unique art shops, local antique stores, and other retail establishments can be found in the downtown core and in several indoor and outdoor malls scattered throughout the city.

Sonoma County is known for fresh food and unique culinary creations that can be found in the many locally owned restaurants and grocery stores.  There are many nightlife venues in the downtown area as well.

Beyond all of these attributes, our schools stand at the center of community life in Santa Rosa. Academic, artistic, athletic and musical achievements of young people create a spirit of involvement that extends to young and old alike.

We encourage you to get involved with our schools and the future of Santa Rosa.  Thank you for your interest in our community and the Santa Rosa City Schools.
